Helioptile are small, lizard-like Pokemon. They have a tapering tail, short legs and small feet with three pointed toes on each foot. Their body is pale yellow, while their feet and the tip of their tail are black. The top of their head is black as well with a small triangular yellow patch between the eyes. They have two long, pointed frills hanging from the sides of their head that are black with yellow tips. The frills can stiffen and unfold. They have large eyes with blue irises and white pupils.
